GET INVOLVED IN RAILROADING TODAY! |
|
TRAIN & ENGINE CREWS The Legacy of the Black River & Western Railroad is a dedicated group of volunteers which have been staffing the railroad's passenger excursion trains since 1965. If you would like to be trained and qualified as a Trainman or Brakeman with the opportunity of promotion to Conductor/Engineer, contact Superintendent C.J.Hoffman. No prior railroad experience required. CHoffman@BRWRR.com |

STEAM LOCOMOTIVE OVERHAUL Volunteer work is underway
on the inspection and repair of Black River & Western
Railroad Steam Locomotive #60. There is no better
way to learn and understand the mechanics and operation
of a steam locomotive than to participate in the
overhaul process. |
|
LIVING HISTORY If your interest in trains is more historical than operational, the Black River Railroad Historic Trust has several ongoing projects including the conversion of a New York Central baggage car into a museum display car and the cosmetic restoration of a unique Mack Industrial locomotive.
